Three branches of government. The Senate. How a bill becomes a law. What do all three of these have in common? Well, we're going to find out!
Your Task: Report on what all 3 branches of government are responsible for and WHAT THEIR ROLE IN LAW MAKING is. Then, find a news story related to EACH branch of government and explain why it connects to that branch (put the url in your blog response). LASTLY, what the heck is the Senate? Report on their role, and find 1 story about the Senate. Your Opinion: Does this system work? What about talks of reform in our government? Executive Branch: This includes The prime Minister and The Cabinet. These are the people that propose most new laws. They are the ones that essentially take the first steps towards making a new law. The cabinet is a large group of political officials. Each member is assigned a portfolio (subject) and they tackle the day to day issues in that specific area. By doing this, each member can specialize in their respective field and the Government can run much smoother.

i believe this system has great success in Canada today. It ensures that no irresponsible laws can be passed and features the voice of multiple minority groups from across the Country. Although it takes large periods of time, the end result is very effective.

Ah, the three branches in government, the are: the executive branch, the legislative branch, and the judicial branch. The executive branch is where the prime minister and his cabinet propose most of the laws. The legislative is where the House of Commons and the senate make the law official. The judicial branch is where the Supreme Court comes in and interprets the law before it's officially a law.

I think that the three governments working together are working well. but if one group does not have a job the rest have nothing to do.
